June Carey
A self-taught artist, June Carey has been painting in oils for more than 20 years. Her early inspiration came from visits to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C. At age 12, she displayed her first work. June has developed a unique style, incorporating both intense color and dramatic light effects, setting her work apart from other landscape and seascape artists. Her goal is to create an image which “you experience as if you were there.” Her work displays a vital representation of the scenes she loves, bringing the viewer into the painting. June’s depictions of the California deserts, rolling foothills, and the Pacific coast have been included in notable exhibitions and private collections throughout the United States.
