Michael Harrell

Michael J. Harrell’s oils and watercolors have won numerous awards and can be found in corporate and private collections around the country. The Hilton Head Island Packet recently wrote that “Harrell possesses a total command of his medium” and that his recent one-man show was a “resounding success.”

In 1997 and 1998, Harrell was invited to participate in the American Miniature Show at Settlers West Gallery in Tucson, Arizona, featuring 200 of America’s top artists. Harrell’s work is reminiscent of American realists such as Andrew Wyeth and Winslow Homer, and he is well known for his remarkable ability to capture a sense of luminosity. Corporate clients include the community of Seaside, Florida, Master Card and Visa, and American Express.

Harrell is a native of Tallahassee, Florida and received a B.F.A. from the University of Georgia in 1988.
