Carolyn Hesse-Low

Carolyn’s paintings have been shown in over 70 museum exhibitions and in countless shows in galleries and art institutes nationally, including the National Arts Club and the Salmagundi Club in New York. She has been selected to paint in plein air invitational and juried events throughout the country.

Carolyn has been featured in Southwest Art, American Art Collector, Fine Art Connoisseur and Art of the West magazines. Her work appears in several books, including California Light, A Century of Landscapes, as well as Land of Sunlight: Paintings of San Diego County.  In addition, her work has received numerous awards, including Best of Show at San Luis Obispo Museum of Art, Best Studio Landscape Award from PleinAir Salon, Publisher’s Choice Award from PleinAir Magazine, and Award of Excellence at Plein Air Southwest Salon.

Carolyn Hesse-Low is a Signature Member of American Society of Marine Artists (ASMA), National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society, National Watercolor Society, American Impressionist Society, Laguna Plein Air Painters Association and Outdoor Painters Society. She is an Artist Member of the California Art Club. Her work is represented in national and international collections.
