As his career developed, Louis returned to watercolor painting, which led him to produce many landscapes and seascapes depicting the California area in a traditional manner. His subjects vary to include figures, portraits and western portrayals. His mediums of choice are watercolor, acrylic and egg tempera.
A native of Massachusetts, marine artist Paul Garnett is entirely self-taught. His artwork has been featured in magazines and on book covers. Both the Constitution Museum in Charlestown and the Marine Museum in Fall River, Massachusetts have permanent exhibits of his work.
Mostly self-taught, Lloyd started his career in Rahway, New Jersey in October of 1966 and his interest in drawing and painting began as a child. Garver’s watercolors have been exhibited throughout the United States and have won many national honors. He now lives on Cape Cod where he continues to paint, drawing not only upon local scenes, but using material gathered from travels in other parts of the world for inspiration.
A native of Japan and a resident of the Hawaiian Islands, Yoko Gaydos received early training in ink & brush painting, as well as watercolors. Known for her use of stippled color application, she is one of a select group to use this technique in her work. Yoko now divides her time between scrimshaw and marine painting.
New England artist Paul George was born in Cambridge, MA. His work has been greatly inspired by the beautiful rocky coast and by fishing and sailing vessels of Gloucester since moving there in 1995.
