R.W. Rich’s career as a professional artist spans more than 30 years. During this time he has been an editorial cartoonist, illustrator, art director, and graphic artist for newspapers in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Tennessee. Rich’s work has been honored with numerous awards including; Division Award for Newspaper Illustration 2003 and 2005; he was a finalist in 2010 and again in 2012, New England Associated Press Newspaper Editors; New England Newspaper and Press Association; UPI and the Society of Professional Journalists.

Originally from the Midwest, Robert currently lives in Connecticut. He has always been fascinated by the sea and naval history. This was greatly aided by a liberal helping of C.S.
