Ronald Tinney

Ronald J. Tinney was born in 1958 in Pottstown, Pennsylvania and he attended Penn State University where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree. Ron moved to Cape Cod with his wife in 1996 where he became actively involved with the local art community.

While largely self-taught, Ron has studied with noted marine artists, Donald Demers, Joseph McGurl and Sergio Roffo.

Ron is a Signature Member of the American Society of Marine Artists and a Professional Member of the International Society of Marine Painters. He is a juried member of the Copley Society and a past President of the Cape Cod Art Association where he is also a juried member. Ron has had his work juried into numerous shows including; Guild of Boston Artists, The Ventura Maritime Museum, the Coos Maritime Museum, the International Marine Art Exhibition at the Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport, and the Oil Painters of America National Exhibition. He has also had solo shows at the Cape Code Museum of American Art. Ron is currently represented by Fine Art Galleries in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Florida.
