Alistair Anderson Concert
Master English concertina and Northumbrian pipes player Alistair Anderson will perform live in concert at the Museum’s Greenmanville Church Saturday, September 14, at 7 p.m. As a touring soloist, with no less than 37 tours of the United States, five trips to Australia, and countless European tours to his credit, the British musician is internationally acknowledged as the master of the English Concertina and a fine exponent of the Northumbrian pipes. He delights audiences with traditional music from Northumberland and beyond, as well as his own music, which has grown out of his love of these traditions.
fRoots music guide has said, “He is a treat to watch… His involvement and delight in the music are infectious… Beautiful music, played with skill, taste and affection.”
Anderson’s concert will be followed by a chantey sing at Frohsinn Hall at 54 Greenmanville Avenue in Mystic just across the street from the Museum’s main entrance. Libations will be for sale by the German Club.
