Columbus Day Weekend

Nothing is better than a hot bowl of chowder on a cool autumn day and Chowder Days at Mystic Seaport is just the place to indulge. Our à la carte menu will feature a variety of chowders, grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, clam and apple fritters, mulled cider, and other seasonal delights. Listen to live music and take part in croquet, scarecrow building, ring and bean bag tosses, face painting, gourd painting, tumbling towers, and other family fun activities on the Village Green.

Take a horse-drawn hay ride and a final ride of the season aboard steamboat Sabino (additional fees apply). Climb aboard the last wooden whaleship in the world, the Charles W. Morgan, and see the stars of the autumn sky inside the Treworgy Planetarium. Stroll through our 19th-century village and see New England’s colorful fall foliage.
