Memorial Day Weekend
Hosted in Collaboration with the Mystic Rotary Club
Crack your first lobster claw of the season at Mystic Seaport’s butter-dribbling, shell-sucking, quintessentially New England Lobster Days during Memorial Day Weekend!
Members of the Mystic Rotary Club will serve lobsters-in-the-rough from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Enjoy your lobster picnic-style under the Museum’s open-air Boat Shed while watching boats cruising on the Mystic River. All proceeds from lobster sales support the Rotary Club’s community organizations and projects.
Lobster dinners include either a single or twin lobster, coleslaw, corn on the cob, lemonade or iced tea. Hot dog platters with chips and a soft drink will also be available. A cash bar will be open at the Boat Shed.
Lobster combo tickets can be purchased at the Visitor Reception Center and include Museum admission and a lobster dinner:
- $44 for an adult museum ticket and single lobster dinner
- $42 for a senior museum ticket and single lobster dinner

Decoration Day, May 26
If you’re visiting Mystic Seaport on Memorial Day, May 26, join us as we pay tribute to fallen Civil War soldiers during the Museum’s annual Decoration Day ceremony. Decoration Day was formally instituted by the U.S. Government in 1868 as a day of national remembrance of those killed during the Civil War. Costumed roleplayers will conduct an 1876 tribute and procession to honor the fallen beginning at 10:30 a.m.
