Children receive free admission!
Join us during President’s Day Weekend as we celebrate our winter reopening. All children ages 17 and under will receive free admission when accompanied by a paying adult.
Back by popular demand, three breeds of winter working dogs — Newfoundlands, Malamutes and St. Bernards — will be on grounds throughout the weekend. Meet the dogs and watch as they perform their winter work demonstrations.
Step inside our village buildings and get creative — try your hand at an art project, visit the Print Shop and create a winter scene, make your own hand-dipped candle, and build a toy boat. Kids, stop by the Children’s Museum for story time, hear a special children’s concert in the Greenmanville Church, get a temporary tattoo, explore a sea chest, and get a kids’-eye view of the Charles W. Morgan, and more!
In addition to the Museum’s regular exhibits, horse and carriage rides, planetarium shows, and games of long ago will add to the weekend’s festivities.
Please note: additional fees apply to toy boat building, candle dipping, horse and carriage rides, and planetarium programs. Horse and carriage rides are weather dependent.
