Biography
Mike Eagle

Mike Eagle attended The Hartford Art School of The University of Hartford, CT, where he earned his degree in Fine Arts. After a brief career as Staff Illustrator at The Aetna Life & Casualty Co., Mike entered the U.S. Army where he was commissioned an Officer in The Corps of Engineers S.S. Army Reserve. After a tour of duty as a Line Officer in The Republic of Vietnam, Mike returned to civilian life where he pursued a career as a free-lance Illustrator.

As a member of the Society of Illustrators since 1970, Mike has created illustrative art for a great number of clients, books, editorial and advertising. They include, among many; Random House, Holt, Western (Gloden), Sports Illustrated, Argosy, General Electric, Sun International (Atlantis, Mohegan Sun, The Palm, Dubai), HBO/Cinemax, MGM/Western, ABC and CBS. In more recent years, Mike has created exhibits and concepts for many clients, including The Mystic Seaport Museum, The Connecticut River Museum and Sonalysts Studios.

Along with the Society of Illustrators, Mike is a member of The Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts; is a Signature Member of The Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society; Associate Member of The Transparent Watercolor Society of America; and The American Watercolor Society. He has exhibited nationally and has work in the Dallas Public Library, The U.S. Air Force and National Park Service's permanent collections and The Carus Corporation.

Awards include: The First Award & Medal, The Society of Illustrators' National Collegiate Competition, Honorable Mention in The Untied States/The Edwin Austin Abbey Mural Scholarship Competition, First Award/NFWA National Spring Exhibition (2009) and Honorable Mention/NFWA National Spring Exhibition (2010).
