Biography
Richard Allison
Richard Allison is the former illustrator and editorial cartoonist for Army, Navy and Air Force Times in Washington, DC. His work shows a deep respect for the historical significance of his subjects and has been displayed in several major galleries and museums across the country, winning awards in The Salon International competitions, among others. He is also a frequent participant in Oil Painters of America exhibits.

Allison brings to his studio paintings sensitivity to light and color that he has honed over the years by working frequently en plein air. He strives to depict scenes bathed in light and atmosphere, making his historical subjects live once again.
