Artist BiographyDEL-BOURREE BACH has enjoyed a successful career as an artist for more than twenty five years. His paintings have won over one hundred awards in international, national and regional competitions and exhibitions and are included in private and corporate collections throughout the United States and abroad. His paintings have been included in the National Park Academy of the Arts - Arts for the Parks Top 100 in 2000, 2002, and 2003. In the Arts for the Parks Mini 50 in 2002 and 2003, in which his painting, "Asan Shadows" won the Region Two Award. His work is in the International Marine Art Exhibition at the Mystic Seaport Maritime Gallery, and was included in the Twelfth National Exhibition of the American Society of Marine Artists. In April 2002, American Artist Magazine featured Del's marine paintings in a full article entitled "Cape Light" and his painting "Edge of the World" was on the cover. He was a finalist in the 2000, 2001, and 2003 Artist's Magazine competitions and was on their Competition Spotlight page in May 2002. The August/September 2003 issue of International Artist Magazine includes Del's work in the Master Painters of the World/United States Showcase. Del is an award-winning artist member of the Salmagundi Club in New York, where he exhibits regularly and has served as Chairman of the Art Committee and on the Jury of Awards. He is a signature member of the National Society of Painters in Casein and Acrylic, the American Society of Marine Artists, and the Pennsylvania, Baltimore, Central New York, Louisiana, and North East Watercolor Societies. He is also elected artist member of Audubon Artists, National Art League, the Cape Cod Art Association, Kent (CT) Art Association, Mystic (CT) Art Association, Hudson Valley Art Association, where he serves on the board of directors. He is member of the Artists Fellowship and the United States Coast Guard Program, where his painting "Always on Call" received the 2003 George Gray Award. Recently, he was chosen to be represented in the United States Embassy Art Program. For many years Del worked as a free-lance illustrator. His work regularly appeared in the New York Times, National Review, Saturday Review, Psychology Today and other publications. His many book illustrations include Atom and the Exploding Suns, both by the late Isaac Asimov. SOLD.
