Mark's family brought him back to Syracuse in 1985 where in 1987 he an opportunity to paint two murals for a municipal center. After this successful project, he was offered a position with the Syracuse Parks Department interacting with public administrators, city planners and park associations. During that time he received occasional portrait commissions and was represented in galleries for his landscapes.
Mark's figurative work has been represented in national competitions, was in a feature article in Artists Magazine, 1999, Best in Show, Cooperstown National 2000, and Best in Show, La Fond National, Pittsburg, PA, 2002. His work can also be found in permanent collections at the Erie Canal Museum, Syracuse, NY and two municipal ice rinks run by the Syracuse Park's Department.SOLD.
