Biography
Terry Miller

Terry Miller has been a professional artist for the last 22 years working primarily with natural elements and animals as his main focus. Maritime subjects often filter into his studio time since he moved to Maryland nine years ago. He enjoys spending time in and around the harbor area of Baltimore as well as forays across the Chesapeake Bay to the eastern shore and the Maritime Museum at St. Michaels. He works solely in the medium of graphite.

Terry has participated in the International Marine Art Exhibition at The Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport for more than a dozen years and in 2009 he won the Marine Environmental Wildlife Award. During the summer of 2008, Unknown Bridges, an exhibition of nearly 40 works of his bridges and bridge structures was featured at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wisconsin. This past fall, 2009, five works of his were spotlighted in Strokes of Genius 2: The Best of Drawing Light and Shadow published by North Light Books. At the close of the last century, he spent two years as Artist in Residence at the Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum in New Jersey, at the end of which time, Kalahari to Kilimanjaro, an exhibition of his African themed works was presented.
