Biography
William Maloney

William Maloney was born in 1932 in Boston, MA and is a professional artist and retired Art Director for Raytheon Company and has been painting for over 40 years. He is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art with a B.F.A degree in painting and he studied under nationally known marine painter, Don Stone.

Awards include: 1st Prize Oils, Chatham Creative Arts Center - 2000, 2001, 2008; Best American Landscape, Cape Cod Art Association - 2008; Best of Show, State House Holiday Card Competition, 2005, 2006, 2007; Best of Show, Leo Diehl Exhibit, Chatham Creative Arts Center - 2004 and 1st Prize Oils - 1999 & 2002; Best of Show All Cape Cod Show, Chatham Creative Arts Center - 2003; 1st Prize,Oils, All New England Show, Cape Cod Art Association - 2001 & 2000; Artist of the Year, Pops in the Park, Orleans, MA - 2000; 1st Prize Oil, American Artists Professional League - 1998, Gold Medal, Oil Grand National Exhibit - 1997 and Directors Award, 1997; 1st Prize Oils, Oil Painters of America National Show - 1997; Copley Society’s Sagendorph Award from Yankee Magazine - 1987 & 1997.

William is a Signature Member of the American Society of Marine Artists, the Oil Painters of America and New England Watercolor Society. He is a Copley Master of the Copley Society of Boston, Fellow of the American Artists Professional League and a Member of the Whiskey Painters of America, Cape Cod Art Association and Chatham Creative Arts Center. His work can be found in both private and corporate collections nationally.
