Biography
Artist

Donald was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on October 15, 1927. He received a BS in Visual Design from the Institute of Design at the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1953. He excels at painting, printmaking, teaching and writing. He has taught at his alma mater as well as the Rhode Island School of Design and the DeCordova Museum School (for almost twenty years) among other schools, guilds and art centers.

He has been included in exhibitions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Art Institute of Chicago, Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Boston Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston Athenaeum, Corcoran Gallery of Art, DeCordova Museum, Brockton Art Museum, Rose Gallery at Brandeis University, Art Complex in Duxbury, MA, Silvermine Guild of Artists, The Print Club of Philadelphia, Pratt Graphics Center, Peabody Essexs Museum of Salem, Copley Society of Boston, Fogg Museum, Worcester Museum, Associated American Artists of New York and the Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport.

Solo exhibitions include: the DeCordova Museum and Galleries in Boston, New York, Chicago, Seattle, Baltimore and at MIT in Cambridge, MA.

He has won countless awards, is included in prestigious collections, is member to many fine organizations and has been written about thoroughly. Please ask a gallery attendant for a full list of his achievements.
