Yes, as a member, your guests receive a discount on the price of their admission. If they are accompanying you on a visit, simply show your membership card at the Visitor Reception Center. The guest admission rate for adults is $20; for children (6-17) $11.
Children under 6 are admitted to Mystic Seaport for free. If your children (or grandchildren) are not turning 6 within the year of your membership, you may want to have a Dual or Individual membership instead of Family.
Individual, Dual, Family and Grandparent membership levels are fully tax deductible. A portion of higher categories are tax deductible.
No, your membership cards are in your name only, and may not be used by anyone else. This helps preserve the value of your membership by entitling only those who have paid their dues to the many benefits offered. The Guest Discount Card allows your guests to visit at a discounted rate.
There is a 3 to 4 week processing time between our receiving your application and when we send your new membership cards. If you join Mystic Seaport during a visit, you will receive a yellow copy of the application which will serve as your temporary membership card. If you join through the mail or over the telephone, we will be happy to send you a temporary membership card so that you may visit with ease before your Annual card arrives. Please note on your application when you will be visiting.
Yes, you may apply the amount you paid for admission to your new membership. You can apply one adult admission towards an Individual membership, two adult admissions towards a Dual membership, and two adult admissions plus related youth admissions towards Family and higher categories of membership. You may use this credit at the Visitor Reception Center, or you may send your receipt with your membership application to the Mystic Seaport Membership Office, 75 Greenmanville Avenue, PO Box 6000, Mystic, CT 06355-0990. With advance notice, your babysitter may be added to your Family membership card at no extra cost. Just call or email the Membership Office and let us know your babysitter’s name. That way, your children can enjoy their membership at Mystic Seaport even if you cannot come with them every time.
No, a Dual membership is for two NAMED adults living at the same address. An individual membership allows you to bring guests at a discounted rate.
