Treworgy Planetarium Summer Evening Series

The Mystic Seaport Treworgy Planetarium is pleased to announce its five-part summer series for 2012. The Friday evening programs will begin with updates on current events in the evening sky followed by an extended presentation of the topic for that evening. Afterward, if weather permits, the indoor program will be followed by an outdoor observation session using the Planetarium's telescopes.
Schedule: All Programs Begin at 8:30 p.m.
- June 22, 2012 - "The Summer Evening Sky"
- July 6, 2012 - "The Zodiac"
- July 20, 2012 - "The Milankovitch Cycle and the Earth's Climate"
- August 3, 2012 - "The Moon and Tides"
- August 17, 2012 - "Extrasolar Planets"
Ticket Information - Adult admission is $7.50 ($6 for members) and Youth (ages 15 and under) is $3. Tickets will be available for purchase upon arrival. Cash payment is preferred.
Attendees are to enter the Museum via the Administrative Gate, located on Greenmanville Avenue (Route 27) between the white Thomas Greenman House and yellow Clark Greenman House. Please follow the short pathway to the Treworgy Planetarium which will be located on the left. Each program will be 50-minutes long and the outdoor observation session (weather permitting) will range between 60 to 90 minutes.
