Mystic Seaport is dressed in the splendor of the holiday season! See Christmas trees heavy with ornaments, wreaths decorating vessels and buildings, and strands of garland hung throughout the village.
Go aboard our historic vessels and hear stories directly from sailors' journals that tell about Christmas on board a ship and of the loneliness during the holidays. Look up to find the tree on the main mast, a sure sign that this vessel will be in port on Christmas.
Step into the Buckingham-Hall House and smell a winter meal cooking on the open hearth while you try your hand at candle dipping. Stop by the Mystic Press to print your own 19th-century Christmas card. Play with toys and games in the Children's Museum and experience the fun that boys and girls enjoyed long ago, or sit by the fire on the third floor of the Stillman Building.
