Significant collections from renowned designers such as L. Francis Herreshoff, Philip Rhodes, William Garden, Henry A. Scheel, and Cox & Stephens. The plans in the Mystic Seaport's Collection reflect the varying ways in which boats are powered through the water, such as manual, wind, steam, and gas. The vessels in the Ships Plans Collection are also based on a wide variety of dimensions, from small canoes, dories, and day sailers to yachts, barges, and naval vessels. In addition, the collection features plans for vessels that are currently in the Mystic Seaport's collections, such as the Charles W. Morgan, L.A. Dunton, the Joseph Conrad, and the Emma C. Berry.
