Antique and Classic Boat Rendezvous

Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. / Sunday, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Every year some of the most outstanding antique boats in the country converge at Mystic Seaport for the Museum's annual Antique and Classic Boat Rendezvous. The event showcases restored antique vessels built before 1970, including cruisers, sailboats, runabouts and launches. Visitors are invited to see the displayed vessels and an award competition will recognize excellence in restoration, authenticity, and workmanship. This year's featured boat is ketch Belle Aventure built by William Fife in 1929.
On Sunday at 12:30 p.m., the classic vessels will take part in a three-mile parade down the historic Mystic River led by the Museum's very own steamboat Sabino. Each boat will be announced on the shore as it passes through Mystic's famous bascule bridge en route to Noank, Conn. Join others along the parade route to see the spectacular boats and their costumed crews.
