Every June Mystic Seaport is proud to host its annual Sea Music Festival, one of the world's premier sea music events. Fans of traditional sea music gather to hear the Museum's chantey staff, along with performers from around the globe, carry on the classic musical traditions of the Golden Age of Sail. The Festival has featured music from maritime cultures around the world, including the United Kingdom, Italy, Portugal, Australia, Iceland, Poland, Netherlands, France, Canada and Africa, as well as native peoples within the United States.
The Friends of the Festival is a group of dedicated supporters who work to keep the annual Sea Music Festival alive. Without the generous gifts of a growing number of Friends, this unique event would not be able to continue. We hope you will join us to make the 2013 festival the best one yet.
