Employment at Mystic Seaport
To ensure a continuing flow of qualified applicants, Mystic Seaport posts all job openings in its weekly staff bulletin; local newspapers; at the Connecticut Department of Labor; in museum trade publications; in the Northeast Minority News newspaper, and on designated internet sites.
Mystic Seaport offers a comprehensive benefits package for regular full-time staff, and their eligible dependents which includes medical and dental insurance (cost-sharing involved) as well as term life insurance (for full-time staff only), and the option of purchasing supplemental life insurance. After two years of service, these same staff are eligible for enrollment in a 403 (B) pension plan.
Mystic Seaport grants paid vacations to all regular full-time and regular part-time staff . The amount of the vacation to which an employee is entitled depends upon two factors: length of service from anniversary date and numbers of hours the staff member works during the year.
