About Us
Nautical Instruments Collection
The collection of nautical instruments at Mystic Seaport includes more than 1,000 three-dimensional objects related to the history of navigation. The Collections Research Center at Mystic Seaport also cares for several hundred logbooks, charts and pilot guides related to navigation. Together these collections further our understanding of how people traveled across the globe over the last 300 years.
When you visit Mystic Seaport, be sure to see the Nautical Instrument Shop in the village and the navigation exhibit in the Planetarium.
