Reopening for lunch and dinner service - Spring 2010!
We're getting a new crew, a new look and a new name! Mystic Seaport is proud to announce its new partnership with Coastal Gourmet, a Mystic-based corporation specializing in restaurant operations, catering services and event planning. Selected for its high quality and culinary innovations, Coastal Gourmet will operate all food, beverage and catering functions including The Galley Restaurant and Schaefer's Spouter Tavern beginning January 1st. While the restaurant will be closed to à la carte dining from now until early Spring 2010 for renovation, events, parties and weddings currently scheduled will go on as planned without interruption of service.
Along with this new partnership comes a new look and a new name for the restaurant. Renovations including an exterior "face lift", upgrades to facilities, and new interior enhancements will complement the new name to be announced at a later date. As part of Mystic Seaport, we understand the importance of honoring our maritime history. Please be assured, the restaurant and our new partnership will continue to honor our sea-faring heritage with new flair and focus.
Mystic-based Coastal Gourmet operates Mystic Market East in Mystic, Mystic Market West in West Mystic, Coastal Gourmet catering and event planning, Stonington Meadows, the culinary operations at Stonington Harbor Yacht Club, and Aspen, an Old Saybrook restaurant.
