The Night Sky

During the Planetarium programs, visitors have the chance to see the sky above Mystic, Connecticut for the night of their visit. The Planetarium has prepared two simple star charts for locating a few constellations:

Evening Skies in Winter

5 Bright Stars Form the Arc of Capella, Up Orion's Belt to Taurus & the Pleiades, Down Orion's Belt to Sirius

Look to the North for the Dippers

Look to the North for the Dippers:
The Pointer Stars Point to Polaris. The Arc of the Handle Leads to Arcturus. A Hole in the cup empties on Leo's back. Megrez and Polaris Point to Cassiopeia.
