Lantern Light Tours

Returning in 2010! Check back soon for new dates.

Take a Lantern Light Tour on a horse and carriage ride. It's Christmas Eve 1876. The Gardner family has struggled each Christmas since the War Between the States, when their beloved Captain Gardner was lost. No proof exists of his death, and for eleven years the family has wondered what happened to their father and husband. Join us on a journey through Greenmanville, a town hurt by war and healed by the hope and love of family.

This one hour moving performance/walking tour meanders through our 19th-century maritime village. The route covers approx. 1/2 mile of uneven terrain (including cobblestone, wood planking, grass, gravel, and stairs). Audience will walk or stand for the entire show. Please wear appropriate shoes.

Note: If you have difficulty walking or require the use of a wheelchair, please notify the ticketing agent when making your reservation so that proper accommodations may be made for you.

Note: If you have difficulty walking or require the use of a wheelchair, please select a RED tour and indicate a wheelchair when ordering tickets. If calling to order, please notify the ticketing agent when making your reservation so that proper accommodations may be made for you. Please be assured that red and green tour content is identical. Red tour path has been adjusted to accommodate flatter terrain and wheelchair accessibility.

If children ages 3 and under are attending, please limit to only 2 lappers in your party per tour.

Canned Food Drive

Help us help our Community!

In keeping with the holiday spirit, Mystic Seaport kindly requests that each person attending Lantern Light Tours brings a donation of a non-perishable food item. All donations will go to the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center, helping those who need the most support in our community. Please contribute what you can to make the holidays brighter for someone else.

~ Thank you in advance for your generosity. ~
