Self-Guided Tours
Self-guided tours offer educators the freedom to handcraft their visits to Mystic Seaport. Groups are encouraged to climb aboard the whaleship Charles W. Morgan, visit a working shipyard, go back in time to a 19th-century coastal village, and experience the Museum's current exhibitions. Mystic Seaport offers a daily schedule of activities, demonstrations, and performances. Activities between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. are especially geared toward students. Additional onsite experiences are available to enhance your visit and can be scheduled for an additional fee. Why not see a Planetarium show, ride the steamboat Sabino, take a horse and carriage ride, or interact with a roleplayer right out of 1876? Field trip grant funding is also available!
