The Oral History Division of Mystic Seaport has collected and conducted oral-history interviews since the 1960s, and this guide lists and describes 218 of them, as well as 93 recordings of lectures in martime history sponsored by the Museum's Munson Institute. The General Collection described includes interviews with fisherman, boatbuilders, whaling hands, marine craftsmen, and veterans of the U.S. Lighthouse and Life-Saving services.
