Self-Guided Tours

• Students: $10.50 per student; no additional fee for a self-guided tour
• Adults: For every 10 students, one teacher (or scout leader) is admitted free of charge; additional adults pay $19

Guided Tours

• Students: $15.50 per student
• Adults: For every 10 students, one teacher (or scout leader) gets in free; additional adults pay $19

In-School Fees
History-to-Go and Science-to-Go programs are $175 plus traveling expenses. Additional programs on the same day at the same site are an additional $80 per program.

Optional On-Site Fees (in addition to Museum admission)

• Planetarium: $2.50 per person for 30-minute program, or $4 per person for 50-minute program
• Planetarium ONLY visits are $4 per person for 30-minute program and $7.50 per person for 50-minute program. Minimum fee of $85 for groups under 34 people; Museum admission is not required.
• Steamboat Sabino Rides: $5.50 per adult and $4.50 per student (from end of May through Columbus Day)
• Horse and Carriage Rides: $5 per person on site or $4 per person when preordered
• Roleplayer and Chantey Programs :$85 per 45-minute program

Group Size

• Guided Tours: 10 students minimum, 120 students maximum (larger groups will be sub-divided)
• Teacher-led Tours: No minimum or maximum numbers
• Planetarium: 84 students maximum; in-school programs can accommodate 25-30 students per presentation with a maximum of 3 presentations per day
• In-School Programs: 30 students maximum, with 3 presentations maximum per day

Deposits

For guided tours and additional on-site programs, a nonrefundable 50% deposit is due no later than 60 days prior to the visit. If a reservation is made within 60 days of the visit, the 50% deposit must be made via credit card at the time of the reservation. The balance is due upon arrival. For in-school programs, full payment is due within 30 days of making the reservation.

Methods of Payment

• Charge: MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or American Express.
• Check: School or organization check made payable to Mystic Seaport Museum, Inc. and mailed to Mystic Seaport, Group Reservations, P.O. Box 6000, Mystic, CT 06355.
• Purchase Order: Hard copy issued by Board of Education and mailed to the Mystic Seaport Finance Department, Mystic Seaport, P.O. Box 6000, Mystic, CT 06355.

Chaperone Policy

One adult is required — two are recommended — for every 10 students. Chaperones are required to stay with their group at all times and are responsible for the safety and behavior of all students.

Lunch

Groups are welcome to enjoy lunch at our Galley Restaurant; or groups may also reserve boxed lunches through the Museum’s catering service (860.572.0711, ext. 5334). Groups may also picnic on the museum grounds rain or shine. Mystic Seaport provides storage lockers to hold lunches.

Mystic Seaport is located midway between New York City and Boston in Mystic, Connecticut. Our address is 75 Greenmanville Ave., Mystic, CT 06355. Take Interstate 95 to Exit 90. Proceed one mile south on Route 27 to Mystic Seaport’s South Parking Lot. Parking is free.

Tours run rain or shine. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.
