Making Your Anchor Watch Reservation

Here are a few things you need to know when making your reservation

• Who?
  Anchor Watch programs are open to all youth groups ages 6-18.
• When?
  Anchor Watch programs are a one-night stay on either a Friday or Saturday night, March through May and September through November. Please select up to three dates for consideration when calling. As reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis, we recommend booking early to guarantee your desired date.If a reservation request is mailed in and Mystic Seaport is unable to accommodate your group on the desired date(s), your deposit will be returned in full.
• How Many?
  There is a maximum of 45 participants for each overnight stay. A minimum number of 20 participants or a minimum price of $1,500 is required to book a program. Please note that one adult is required for every 10 youths.
• Which Program(s)?
  You will be asked which Anchor Watch program you are interested in. If appropriate, please indicate any special Planetarium program or other program requests at that time. Scouts: if you are interested in earning a particular badge, please advise the Anchor Watch program manager (anchor.watch@mysticseaport.org) at the time of booking so the appropriate activities can be incorporated into the schedule.
• What’s included?
  Fee includes programs, overnight accommodations aboard the Joseph Conrad, pizza, evening activities, breakfast, a Mystic Seaport patch, and two days admission to the Museum.
• How to Pay?
  A non-refundable deposit of $25 per person is to be paid within 30 days of making your reservation. A Formal Agreement Form will be sent via mail upon booking. This form must be returned before you arrive for the program. Forms and deposit can be returned to:

  Final Payment is expected upon arrival at Mystic Seaport. Please pay by check made payable to Mystic Seaport.

• What if…
  The group is smaller than expected? If your group shows up with less than the expected number, Mystic Seaport will keep the $25 deposit, but not charge the remaining fee for the missing participants.The group has more than expected? If the group has more than expected (but cannot be more than the 45 maximum participants), please call the Anchor Watch program manager at 860.572.0711, ext. 5008 as soon as the new count is known. Please bring the appropriate payment for the additional participants.Note: Unexpected increases in group size at the time of arrival may impact the morning meal food amounts.
