Annual Fund

Schooner BRILLIANT

As 2016 comes to a close, Mystic Seaport is exceptionally grateful to our generous donors and friends who have made great success possible this year. With the opening of the Thompson Exhibition Building and McGraw Gallery Quadrangle, Mystic Seaport is propelled into a new “Era of Exhibition” as a year-round, all-seasons museum. Through the unwavering support of our Annual Fund donors, we are able to set new standards as the nation’s leading maritime museum as we enter an exciting new year here on campus.

Your tax-deductible gift to the Annual Fund is crucial to our continued success and growth as we begin a new year. With ambitious goals, new interactive exhibits, and expanded inspirational education programs, now, more than ever, your donation provides the gift of knowledge and experience to visitors of all ages.

Your generous donation will directly benefit and support these programs and more, and ensure our mission to inspire an enduring connection to our maritime heritage. In advance, thank you for considering a philanthropic gift to the Annual Fund at Mystic Seaport – The Museum of America and the Sea.

The impact of your philanthropy:

“When I first got onto the boat, I had to steady myself to keep from falling off. It felt incredible when we pushed out onto the open water, breathing in the bay air, feeling the wind on my face. We had some trouble at first, but we quickly got the hang of it. We capsized a couple of times. When we went in for lunch, almost everyone was soaking wet and covered with mud. But the thing is, we were all smiling and happy… I want to express to you how deeply grateful I am for your contribution because the experience of going to this camp has changed my life forever.” – Kathryn, Conrad Sailing Camp participant

“There is no rival to this museum in the depth and extent of its collections, the expertise of its staff, and the organization of the Museum site.” – National Endowment for the Humanities Grant Reviewer

“Thank you for helping meet the educational needs of our students in Griswold Middle School this year. Each program that we attended and that was provided to us (field trip, in-class science program, and virtual learning), was absolutely wonderful. I really appreciate everything you have done for our school over the past two years. My team of teachers and our students have thoroughly enjoyed everything about it.” – Kristin L. 5th grade teacher
