J. Terry Culpan has been painting for more than 30 years and his work has been acquired by collectors in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East.
As a keen student of Naval architecture and living most of his life on England’s Yorkshire coast, it seemed natural for him to specialize in painting marine subjects. He has also spent some time at sea as an artist-guest of the Royal Navy. However, after spending some years working in the Middle East, his work broadened to include the local landscape and architecture.
Terry’s work has been accepted in the Royal Society of Marine Artists exhibitions and he has won several awards in the International Marine Art Exhibition at the Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport. He now lives on the outskirts of Bristol, England, giving him easy access to the beautiful Cotswold area and the lovely Devon coast.
