MIKE EAGLE graduated from The Hartford Art School of The University of Hartford with a BFA cum laude. After a successful career as a Freelance Ilustrator, designing for many clients in the book, editorial and advertising fields, Mike turned his attention to his first passion, transparent watercolor.
In recent years, Mike has exhibited his work in many regional and national exhibitions including The Connecticut Academy of Fine Art, The Philadelphia Watercolor Society, The Pittsburg Watercolor Society and most recently; The Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport Museum, The Mystic Museum of Art and The Hudson Valley Art Association. His work is in the collections of The Society of Illustrators, The Dallas Public Library and The Carus Corporation.
Mike is a long time member of The Society of Illustrators, The Connecticut Academy of Fine Art, The Lyme Art Association, The Clinton Art Society, The Guilford Art League and The Madison Art Society of which he is a board member.
His recent honors include: Third Place Award in The Lyme Art Association’s American Waters Exhibition, 2017; The Martin Memorial Watercolor Prize, The Mystic Museum of Art’s Annual Regional Exhibition, 2017; The Scheld Memorial Watercolor Award, Clinton Art Society’s Summer Exhibition, 2018; and The Whitney AWS Memorial Watercolor Award in The Hudson Valley Art Association’s National Exhibition, 2018.
