Michael Harrell

Michael Harrell is a native of Tallahassee, Florida. He received a B.F.A. from the University of Georgia in 1988. His oils and watercolors have won numerous awards and can be found in corporate and private collections around the country. The Hilton Head Island Packet recently wrote that “Harrell possesses a total command of his medium” and that his recent one-man show was a “resounding success.” For six years Harrell was invited to participate in the American Miniature Show at Settlers West Gallery in Tucson, Arizona, featuring two hundred of America’s top artists.

Harrell’s work is reminiscent of American realists such as Andrew Wyeth and Winslow Homer, and he is well known for his remarkable ability to capture a sense of luminosity. In 2005, Artists Magazine listed Michael as one of the top 20 artists in America to watch.
