Karen is a full-time artist and her studio is located in Milford, Connecticut. She has been painting for over 30 years. For over the past eight consecutive years, her emphasis is on studies in impressionism and she focuses on capturing the peacefulness of nature with paint. Living by the water has inspired her to study the various colors of the atmosphere.
She has attended the Continuing Education Program at Silvermine School of Art in New Canaan, CT and was the owner and operator of a group art studio where she taught classes and workshops and she is a member of several plein air groups and art councils in Connecticut.
Karen’s work is collected both nationally and internationally. She has had six shows at the Amsterdam Whitney Gallery in NYC, and was represented by Paul Robinson Fine Arts. She received Third Place Award at the MYC Marine Art Show in 2012 and she has been represented by the Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport Museum, Mystic, CT since 2014.
