Join us for this special opportunity to get onboard two of Mystic Seaport Museum’s incredible vessels, Roann and Brilliant. These extraordinary vessels are not available for public access. Our tour guide will take tour participants on board and below decks* for the first time, discussing the history of both of these remarkable vessels.

Roann was constructed in the mid-1940s and remains one of the last surviving eastern-rigged draggers. She fished New England waters for more than 50 years.

Brilliant is a 61-foot wooden schooner built in 1932. She began as an offshore cruising yacht but evolved into the platform for the nation’s oldest sailing education program at Mystic Seaport Museum.

*Please note that the layouts of both Roann and Brilliant provide limited accessibility. Boarding for each requires taking a long step from dock to deck. Tour participants will be required to climb narrow and steep ladders to explore below deck.
