Original Slow Food Movement
One event on an unspecified date at 4:30pm
Join us for an open-hearth cooking class that celebrates the original slow food movement. Immerse yourself in a traditional 19th-century cooking and dining experience as you learn the art of open-hearth cooking in the 1768 Buckingham-Hall House. Our knowledgeable staff will guide you as you bake, stir, and sizzle using traditional techniques and receipts (an early word for recipes).
All materials and ingredients are provided; bring only your enthusiasm and your appetite. Cooks of any experience level are welcome! Class registration includes a delicious hearth-cooked supper, plus a copy of Sandra L. Oliver’s Saltwater Foodways cookbook.
