Sweet Histories – Sugar & Molasses

Before stevia and corn syrup, cane sugar was the primary sweetener of choice for the colonial families of coastal New England. But, it looked a bit different than it does today and was costly. At sea, molasses was the common alternative. Join us for a sweet presentation at the Buckingham-Hall House followed by a brief cooking demonstration and taste-testing.
