The Masin Room, a meeting and lecture space, is on the west end of the building. One wall is covered by an 1874 photograph by Everett Scholfield that depicts the site along Greenmanville Ave. that is now Mystic Seaport. Photo credit: Andy Price/Mystic Seaport

The Masin Conference Room is located in the west end of the Thompson Exhibition Building. The room has a panoramic view of the Mystic River and can be reconfigured for conferences, additional gallery space, or educational programs, adding to the new building’s versatility. The Masin Room is accessed from the outside deck.

A notable feature is a wall-sized mural of an enlarged photograph taken by local photographer Everett Scholfield. It depicts Greenmanville Avenue and the site of present-day Mystic Seaport Museum as it appeared in 1874.
